If you like animals, you will love making animal toys for pets awaiting adoption at the Pasadena Humane Society this Saturday at the Chevy Chase Library.

We’ll hear animal stories, do some take-home crafts and have a snack.

Get Your Draw On!!

Come and learn to draw cartoon characters with animation artist Douglas McCarthy on Saturday, April 23rd from 3pm – 4pm at the Chevy Chase Library (3301 East Chevy Chase Drive).

Douglas has worked on many feature films and television shows such as Curious George, Antz, Alpha & Omega, An Extremely Goofy Movie, Tom and Jerry Tales, Lilo and Stitch, and Tiny Toon Adventures to name a few.  If you’re a kid or an adult, don’t miss this great opportunity to meet Douglas and learn some drawing techniques!

Also, check out books on drawing or any topics and earn raffle tickets for a chance to win some great prizes!

Kids will be invited to perform a “planetary rap” song as part of a program on the solar system this Saturday, April 16, at the Chevy Chase Library.  A guest speaker from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory will lead the session about the planets from 3 to 4 p.m.  All ages are invited, and a craft and snack will also be provided.

May 14- Art

This series is organized by a La Canada high school student as part of her Girl Scout Gold Award Project.
